SURROGATE MOTHER REQUIREMENTS
You must meet ALL the requirements in order to participate in the program.
1. Must be between the ages of 21 and 35 years of age.
2. Must have given birth to at least one child you are raising.
3. Must be in overall good health.
4. Must be free of all sexually transmitted diseases.
5. Must be a non-smoker and living in a smoke-free environment.
6. Must be willing to undergo a psychological and physical evaluation.
7. Must be willing to attend counseling sessions throughout the surrogacy process.
8. Must not be receiving government assistance (welfare)
9. Must have full emotional support from husband/partner,if applicable. He must agree to undergo a psychological evaluation and some physical testing, in addition to supporting the surrogate throughout the process.
(These requirements are guidelines. Surrogates are screened and accepted at the discretion of SPCT staff. A surrogate may still be turned away if she meets all above criteria.)
